CREST & CREST Jr.

Recreation and Social Programs

(Crafts, Recreation, Exercise & Socialization Together) provide opportunities for persons with disabilities who live in the community to participate in various social and recreation activities. CREST sponsors local and out-of-town activities, local area participation in Special Olympics and fosters growth in self-esteem and self-confidence while utilizing generic resources. CREST serves individuals 18 years of age and up. CREST Jr. serves school age children, 5-17 yrs of age.

Who is Eligible?

Persons with developmental disabilities who have a Purchase of Services (POS) for participation from the Kern Regional Center.

What activities are offered?

Special Olympics training and participation
(local, Kern County, and Southern California)
Concerts, Parties and Dances
Arts and Crafts
Bowling
Cinema and In-House Movies
Games
Field Trips
Social Club

Participation in Community Events
